Presenting a design plan for a law office -- I think my husband is a little bit jealous of it!

Tucked away in what has always been a rather creepy corridor of Manhattan is The Nomad Hotel, possibly the coolest new hotel in NYC. This super sophisticated hotel is housed in one of the most beautiful historic buildings in the city, which is clearly a departure from the drab and surprisingly sleazy clothing stores surrounding it – but then it wouldn’t be New York without the distinctive juxtaposition of the super-cool with dreary urban landscapes.
Inside is one of the most “effortlessly” cool and intimate interiors I’ve seen in a while – the lobby feels like a dark and mysterious bubble, reminiscent of old-school Rive Gauche hotels where in-crowd bohemians would go to not be seen. And don’t get me started on the attention to detail. As you may be able to tell, I was pretty excited to have the opportunity to stay there and let the interior inspire all kinds of new design ideas in my head. Aaron and I had dinner at the restaurant the first night — the food was as terrific as the decor:
Loved the details in the hallway carpet and tile floor as well:
And here are some of my favorite images of our nuanced, creative and effortlessly chic hotel room at the Nomad:
It’s definitely worth a stay! I was almost ready to move in…

What a room! The bathroom itself was a trip!
