A 1930s Updated Condo

Project: My client contacted me after owning this 1 bedroom/den condo for a couple of years and not knowing how to furnish it.  She had spent nearly a year deciding on the sectional sofa and that purchase had exhausted her desire to continue decorating.  So, we set a budget, determined her style and functional needs for this huge 1930s apartment with Art Deco attributes and went to work designing a plan that we could execute easily and make decorating fun for my client!

Design Challenge: The paint colors!  With such an open living plan with lovely details in the moldings and archways it was important to bring life into the rooms with the wall colors but create a color palette that was cohesive and not jarring or forced.

Best Part:  My client really ended up loving the process of decorating and was excited whenever we brought in a new layer of furniture and accessories.  She even ended up loving details like the sequined pillow that she couldn’t have imagined picking out for herself.  That’s the most important part to me!
